Day Care

The best way to introduce babies (4 months+) and toddlers (1-2yrs) to peanuts. This early introduction can reduce the risk of having peanut allergy, especially if your child is high risk (has eczema and/or egg allergy). Guidelines from the American Academy of Pediatrics and National Institutes of Health recommend introducing babies to peanut, egg, and milk as early as 4 months. We are the only office in Metro-Detroit offering an early peanut prevention program.

Our program includes peanut skin test, assessment, introduction and maintenance peanut protein formulations calculated and prepared to be given in a bottle or food, reserved follow-up appointment/s to monitor progress and access to secured encrypted messaging to communicate with Dr. Wolff for any reaction concerns. Due to increasing popularity, we offer 4 different program lengths to jumpstart peanut prevention: 30 days (introductory peanut only),  90 days, 180 days, and 360 days. Let us help you create an easy routine for peanut exposure.

Peanut skin testing, assessment and office visits are generally covered by insurance. Copays and deductibles are based on specific insurance plans. We encourage patients to contact their insurance company about their benefits.  At this time, peanut protein  preparation, scheduling, supplies and associated labor for each patient is not covered by insurance. For your convenience, we accept a variety of payment options. If you are a family member, friend, company or organization interested in sponsoring a child for JumpStart!, please click the link below. Giving the gift of peanut protection is a worthy cause!
